Introduction
This section is dedicated to you
the diver. Diving Heritage would like to give you the opportunity to have your
own feature about your historic finds when you have been diving in your own
waters or far away as you explored new waters. Diving Heritage encourages divers
to follow the diver guidelines issued by the country's authorities wherever you
dive and report your finds if required to do so.
To start things off, web designer Steven George has provided the opening feature
based on his father's historic find whilst diving on the wreck of 'The Queen'
off Trefusis Point, Flushing, near Falmouth, Cornwall in England. In the feature
Steven, Brian George's son with the help of the newspaper article of the day
tells of Brian's find, a cannon ball from the troop ship which was sailing from
Lisbon to Portsmouth and was wrecked and sunk in 1814 during a ferocious gale.
