Poseidon

Hat that was sold on Ebay as a real hat. But guys, believe us: this is not a real helmet! It says POSEY-DON on the nametag.  This hat is only a look alike. The top window is not positioned very well. The nipples a put way too far together. Another good warning for everybody: Inquire before you buy !

Poseidon item that was sold on E-bay.In the previous page you have seen that this thing is sold as a TOA also. Only the nametag is different. Visit our German helmet collection to see what a real Poseidon looks like ! Or visit our Japanese helmet collection to see what a real TOA looks like.

The phony nametag. It looks so bad it could never be German. It is simply not thorough enough ! Also: the letters are on top of the tag.

Another fake tag.
Notice it says POSE DON and not POSEIDON

Real Poseidon nametag.
It looks better shaped and has the letters inside the tag.
It looks more thorough.

Dear Karin and Bert,  I have a chance to buy this helmet could you please tell me if its a real one and if so how much are they worth?
It has matching no's but i'm a bit worried about the shape and the weight holders ,regards
Greg Donohue.

Well Greg, it seems wise to leave this item alone. The guards over the sidelights look nothing like the Siebe guards.
The faceplate shape and studs are invented in Asia and the lashes on the breastplate look like they come from a Japanese Pearler helmet......

Heinke

This item was offered for sale to one of our viewers. It later turned out to be a bad Indian reproduction of a Heinke helmet.

A test to finish.
You really thought this was a real one ?
