Testing New Equipment

Prior to using new equipment the working equipment group carefully tests and trials all equipment. Seen here is a Sub aqueous Engineering shallow water helmet being trialed in open water from the Dive boat Patrice 11.

The lead weight are secured using the stainless steel bolts which are fixed to the helmet . The air connection is fixed to the rear of the helmet.

Last minute preparations are made as the diver waits on the ladder

The diver descends the ladder and at the bottom moves to the shot line and descends the rope to the bottom.

Adam Coles and Warren Hastings pump air to the diver using a Miller-Dunn wobble pump. The diver's tender Pete Coles looks on.

The diver Iain MacQuarrie returns to the surface and gives a post dive briefing while Alan Jones dismantles the equipment.
